Why Do You Need a Rent Receipt?
If you are a salaried employee and receive House Rent Allowance (HRA) as part of your salary, you can claim a deduction under Section 10(13A) of the Income Tax Act. To claim this deduction, your employer will ask you to submit proof of rent payment.
A signed rent receipt is the primary accepted proof. Our generator creates two copies of the receipt on a single A4 page—one for the tenant's records and one for the landlord's reference.
